Experience:
5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering environment
Language
Fluent in English, Gujarati & Hindi

– High technical understanding
– Methodically skilled for setting up a sustainable and reliable supplier network
– Negotiating skills and assertiveness
– Basic legal knowledge for negotiating contracts

Job description
– Continuous analysis of demands and company strategy
– Participation in global benchmark projects
– Initiation of first contact with local Indian suppliers
– Support in approval process of new suppliers
– Initiation of RFQ’s and negotiation of pricing, terms/contracts, and
execution of multi-year contracts
– Ramp-up / Ramp-down of supplier based on common material group
strategies
– Preparation of total cost of ownership analyses and evaluations
– Analysis of procurement market in India
– Track all Supplier activities, quickly identify and measure risks and potential
delays.
– Create contingency plans to minimize the impact of these risks
– Ensure continuous improvement of operational processes to implement
best customer service strategies
– Operative procurement of components for local Indian plant
– Operative support in procurement of components for global plants
– Operative support in case of quality issues for local Indian suppliers
