We are looking for a ‘ASSISTANT MANAGER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (EAST)’ for one of our
client in Kolkata location. Our client is in Leading fastening solution provider that combines state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies with innovative designs.

Industry Exposure

– Work experience with hardware Industry (Roofing, cement, steel,
ceramic, paint, fasteners) is preferable 

Summary or Purpose:

– Responsible for driving business growth across the East region by
identifying new market opportunities & developing business 

Job Specifications: 

– Responsible for Product Specification / Business Development –
East Zone
– New Business Identification & Development.
– Meeting Consultants & helping to get the product approved,
Meeting influencers: consultants, architects, project managers
– Should be adept at meeting customers & travelling across the zone
– Development & appointment of fasteners, anchoring systems
distribution network in designated territory
– Exisiting Key account management & Develop new Key accounts :
East Zone
– Marketing Reports & documentation
– Spearhead the sales team responsible for designated region
– Identifying, researching, analyzing & marketing new businesses &
products while evaluating the business & realizing its full potential
by using tools such as marketing, sales, information management
& customer service.
– Introducing targeted Innovative New Product offerings to
Customer by
– delivering seminars or by conducting demonstrations
– Generating Leads for Sales team by getting our products specified
in tenders, drawings.
– Conduct various trainings & seminars for distributors, contractors,
developers &Consultants
– Maintains existing client relationships by providing creative
solutions.
– Maintains accurate and organized documentation on all clients and
prospects.
– Extensive understanding of the local market and deep penetration
for increasing sales irrespective of small, medium and large
accounts.
– Prepare reports/trackers for the various activities involved in
achieving the sales plan.
– Monitor sales cycles and collection of payment.
– Monitor sales follow-up regularly, talking to colleagues and
customers and aiming towards early closure.
– After Sales Support, Handling queries related to After Sales
Service in line with company policy and coordinate with the related
departments

Essential Functions

– Conduct competitor analysis by keeping abreast of market trends
& competitor moves to achieve market share metrics.
– Key Account Management – Initiate & develop relationships with
key decision makers in target organizations for business
development.
– Business Development – Developing new customer & providing
them with superior service.
– Go Getter Attitude

Competencies & Knowledge required

– Degree in Civil / Mechanical engineer with Min. 5-10 years’
experience in
– Specification/ Technical Sales
– Work experience with hardware (Roofing, cement, steel, ceramic,
paint,
– fasteners) industry is preferable.
– Soft Skills, – Emails- Outlook is must, Word, excel, power point
etc. Knowing
– Auto Cad is additional qualification

Skills & Attributes

– Age: Preferable: 25-30 years
– Language profanely: English, Hindi (both must) + Local language
– Very Good Communication skills
– Smart, active, & able to work in difficult situation.
– Can handle Influencers & Consultants effectively
