Desired skills

– Proven track record as an Indian executive with 20+ years’ experience in the Chemical Industry in establishing and scaling business operations in India for international companies within preferably the chemical specialty industry, in the Ink or Paint industries, with application of UV technology.
– Minimum of 10 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of UVcurable materials, formulation chemistry, and downstream applications, with proven track record in B2B technical sales in specialty chemicals.
– Strategic leadership, financial acumen, and cross-functional team management, strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse cultural environments, especially with Western Europe.

Job description

– Lead and execute the strategic growth plan for the Indian market, ensuring sustainable profitability and market expansion.
– Drive commercial success by leading sales efforts, product presentations, building strong & long term customer relationships, and delivering technical and commercial excellence across target industries in the Indian market.
– Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, agility, and entrepreneurial spirit, in accordance with company tradition and core values.
– Support the establishment and manage the local organization, including the techno-commercial sales team, back-office operations, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and business objectives.
– Manage financial planning and performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to meet business targets.
– Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
– Implement local marketing strategies, including campaigns, exhibitions, and promotions to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
– Support global procurement initiatives by identifying and supporting negotiations with Indian raw material suppliers for European production needs, while optimizing local procurement and inventory & lead time management for Indian market sales.
