Transportation has always been a task in India, especially when it comes to the deliveries through the surface mode (by Road). Where goods moving by road, faced with the issues of ‘no roads’ or connectivity during the ‘90s developed into issues like that of ‘no movement’ during specified timing in the city limits or of connectivity in between road and rail infrastructure. All of these are extremely pertinent when we face delays in delivery even after having a world class infrastructure in and around a particular (city) geography.

In this article we showcase the one of the prennial issue during transportation of goods. We can help with each step of each option so do contact to help you be really doing successful business in India.

Restrictions of “No Entry” for commercial vehicles

Traffic management is becoming a significant problem throughout the world. All major cities of India, including Delhi (NCR), Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad, have restricted the movement of heavy commercial traffic during peak hours as city traffic gets affected due to their bulky size and speed limitations.

Timings of school & office traffic movement (8 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 11 pm) are peak hours. These hours are “no entry” timings for commercial vehicle movement. Fire-brigades, hospital vehicles, ambulances, vehicles carrying essential commodities like milk, fuel, and lifesaving drugs/medicines, are few exempted from this rule. Such restrictions if not honored attracts heavy penalties & even forfeiting of driver’s license. Hence, truck drivers do not indulge in driving vehicles through the city limits during these timing. The window of movement of the trucks during the daylight is for 5 hours (11 am to 4:00 pm), thus affecting inter and intra-city movement of goods.
